About Me

I've loved playing with clay ever since my third grade teacher handed out a stick to each student in the class. Whenever we finished all our work, we were allowed to take it out of our desk and play with it. I've been animating clay since I was in fourth grade when I animated my first hyper violent animation with an old camcorder and fell in love with it. After reading Marc Spess's book on animation in 2000, my puppet fabrication and animation skills took a quantum leap forward and I bought my first framegrabbing software. I currently have a dedicated fabrication and animation studio space, and make puppets in materials ranging from clay, silicone, resin, foam latex, liquid latex, and foam buildup materials. Like Ray Harryhausen, my father builds ball-and-socket armatures for my puppets.
