I got my first look at the footage from the first sequence I will be animating and will receive the footage to start working with tomorrow!

Ironically, the first scene I will need to shoot will be the one I think will be most challenging for me as an animator/actor. It will involve the six armed statue seen in the 2nd released poster and she'll be a handful to animate. I've got some reference videos I've picked to study for animating her but, there is nobody with six arms in any example for me to follow... other than Ray Harryhausen's Kali and I don't want to view that one at all - for fear of unconsciously mimicking his performance. His performance with Kali was AWESOME to say the least but, rehashing it would be criminal. So I've placed a ban on myself from revisiting Ray's work from this point on.

Tomorrow starts a new phase for me psychologically, I've anticipated it for a long time but, now that it's actually here... it's somehow a surprise yet again. The good thing about it is that I'm not nervous, I really, really, really want to do this and feel I've prepared myself as well as I can.

What a great way to kick off 2011!!! ☺
