Yes Nicholas, our site will go down tomorrow in protest.
Hi Ben, your film is really well done! Fight scenes like that are hard to pull off with so many puppets! Zombie Pirates is alive and well, but so are my responsibilities which keep growing. Hopefully I can get more done on it soon.
just got my eyes, i noticed they had holes at the back instead of front. just asking if you would use them differently then the other ones???
Hi Jordan, you got the AS eyes? For those it would depend, are you making a clay head?
can it be done with these? or will i have to get a different type??
Just join in the discussion and post your video link in the message board thread for the challenge. That's all there is to it. It's free, there's no catch to it or anything.
Hey Zack, no it's just on this site. I wish it were on TV that would be cool.
Hey Zack, they are just clay and blended into position. The clay itself is sticky enough to where they stay in place. The trick might not work with larger sculpted heads.
thanks jordan
Hey Jordan, yes your eyes do come in another package. Let me know if you don't get it by the end of this week and I will track it for you.
Hey Ryan, I'm glad the book is a help and good luck job hunting!
I'm a new member and I'm pretty young, and I just found out about animation a few months ago. I love Marc Spess's zombie pirates movie from what I've seen. I'm planning on buying his tutorials. Just wondering how old is he??
Hey Zack, glad you like my work. I'm 36, I guess pretty old compared to you if that's your picture. :)
Hey Cool, yeah - we can do that. Or if you want me to send it on DVD I can do that also. I'm not sure why it won't work for you, you're the first to tell me. It is a Quicktime video which might explain why?
I'd prefer an in - store -credit instead because I really want to get your new tutorial when it comes out.
Hi Ruly, there are a lot of different foam latex products. You should try to buy a kit such as these: http://www.burmanfoam.com/estore/home.php?cat=84 A 1 quart kit will go a long way and make several puppets. It's also not too expensive. You will need a mixmaster blender, mold making material such as UltraCal30 and mold release to name a few.
thanx March.... the information from you is will be useful for me, I'll soon see and buy the materials. thanx again to you, I hope you do not get bored reading the question my next question ... : D hahaha .... have a nice weeked March
Hi Ruly, I don't think I've seen latex sold as "latex 101", is that a brand? Or are you referring to the DVD we carry? A quart kit of foam latex can do a few nice sized puppets.
