This is a short animation I made for an open assignment for my animation course at Bristol school of animation. The puppet I made before in a workshop, the set/background and firefly animation (the cycle animation of the puppet, which you in this size hardly can see) I already had from a previous unfinished project. The puppet was shot against green screen, the glow of the firefly, his flying around and the compositing was done in after effects. I used a simple rig where the puppet jumps and removed it in post. I noticed that the first steps of the puppet are really jerky, I'm not happy with that part. I'm not sure why I didn't notice it while animating, but don't really see a way now to change it, still making it match with the rest of the animation.
