An Introduction
Hello fellow Stop motion fans. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is S. Brent Bowers. I’ve been a film maker on one variety or another for 28 years having first dabble in claymation and in camera trickery on an 8mm back in high school. I’m 42 now and film making has been my obsession off and on through the years. I’ve also at times been infatuated with creating music, Brazilian Jiu-Jistu and Poser animation. I’ve been published in a few books on various Poser topics. My username in that realm has historically been, “Greybro,” a name inspired by the Amazing Brian Lumely Necroscope books.
If you’d like to check out some recent works, one an outright gore-fest horror short pilot for a web series and the other psychological thriller, you may download the Iso files from my server to check them out using the following links.
Respawner (The Horror Pilot) It’s 128MB

Like many of you, Gumby originally fired my imagination as well as Nightmare Before Christmas and of course the excellent Wallace & Grommit films. While as a “no budget” film maker, I’m always having to limit my vision. Stop Motion appeals to me as a format that would allow you to realize a vision that would just be too expensive to produce without major financing, as long as you have the drive and take the time to learn the necessary skills. I am a decent writer and conventional film maker so it really just seemed like a natural direction to go in when my partners at Mutantville.com wanted to change direction from actually making films to more of a promotional and educational brand.
Also, there is just such wonderment about a clay based world in general. Marc’s Zombie Pirates and Dan of the Dead just make me burn to learn the techniques to produce THAT kind of quality. I’m currently working my way through Marc’s excellent Master Course and the veils to all this magic are lifting. This site itself has just been such a great resource. I hope to make many friends here and just get my feet in the water. I’m super excited about diving into this new format and learning everything I can. I plan to document my journey and hopefully you will all witness.
I was inspired to create a little message for you all.

S. Brent “Johnny Brento” Bowers
