Clay Illustrations - help on smoothing

Clay Illustrations - help on smoothing

As of lately, I've been making clay illustrations rather than animations.  It's amazing how the flaws are just brought out when you're shooting with a 12mp camera, and I was wondering if any of your have a recommendation for a technique in smoothing the clay figures.  Most of the correction was done in Photoshop.

Hope you like it!

More of my stuff is on Clay Alchemist.

Can't wait to hear back from you big_smile

Wow. I really like some of those pictures on your site (the apple peeling itself). Things that have worked for me when working with clay, is that when you get to your final stages, start wearing those latex gloves (the ones doctors have). Or get a small glass of water, wet your fingers, and stroke it over the clay a bit.

That's funny because I was told that yesterday too.  I can't stand the smell of baby oil though...is there a fragrant free kind? haha

I'm sure that there is some fragrant-free baby oil, they usually have a fragrant-free version of everything so they won't lose sales.
