What secrets do you want to learn?

It's the other way around, The Kingster, you record you animation and sync it with your voices
Are you joking? That's really bad advice
That causes so many problems, the animated performance won't emphasise the voice, and the voice actors won't be able to do anything expressively because they'll be stuck having to fit the animated mouths (which will never be perfect unless you record then animate).
wait...
I'm not sure if I'm reading either of your posts right.

Yeah, it looks and sounds unnatural unless you are able to hear the voice when you're animating the puppet.
Re: What secrets do you want to learn?
I poorly understood Kingster's post and poorly worded mine. I read Kingster's post as, 'animate first, then record voices.' I worded my post poorly, but I basically meant to say, 'record the voices first, and sync your animation with the voices (implied to be pre-recorded).' Woops

Don't worry about it, perhaps I could of been more clear.

Id like to build a mobile set, so ican move it around and animate in different areas of my house.
Hey Bagi, we sell a DVD on set building already, so I probably won't include that on the animation DVD. I'm pretty sure I covered that in the other DVD.

Things I'd like to see:
-A section going over different types of digital camera/framegrabber set ups (Computer controlled SLRs, other SLR+spycam, Digital video camera, webcam)
-The 'set basics' section is pretty much fine, though maybe cover different kinds of tie downs (Drilled, Magnets, Bolts into perforated sheet metal) and floors that aren't flat or man made.
-Simple wire flying rigs and removal?
-Armature section is ok, maybe update it with the new kinds of armatures that are in the store.
-Basic molding/casting
-Modular sets
Thanks Marc, I'm definitely going to alter the next version with your ideas in mind. I agree with all your criticisms - I think the animation DVD was the second one I made over 10 years ago. Time for some updates! But most likely the set building stuff will be omitted since I already have DVD's devoted to that.
Re: What secrets do you want to learn?
No problem. I just got my DVD of Gerald's Last Day about an hour ago and I'm going through the extras, the section where Justin talks about animating would fit right in to this DVD, I think. Maybe you could ask to use it, or do a similar thing with another animator?
