June Challenge - Picture Perfect
Hey! June 1st is here and it's time for a new challenge, I don't think there was ever a winner picked for May's challenge, so I chose the keywords myself;
Picture Perfect
I chose this because I noticed some people spend a lot of time coming up with their idea, and this one seems like it could quickly inspire a skit.
A few guidelines;
>Choose quality over quantity, but still tell your story well
>Keep it stop-mo (effects and camera moves in post are fine, though)
>No strong violence or offensive dialogue.
>Submit your entry by June 29th
>Post it in this thread using the forum's video embed features
>Remember it's a Challenge, more than a Competition, it's about improving our ability as animators.
The winner will maybe win a trophy made by M Flem Jr, but I need to look into how he's progressing with making them. They'll also get to pick the next month's key words.
Good luck and I look forward to your entries!

Re: June Challenge - Picture Perfect
m_) May was a touigh month for everyone. I had some huge problems myself with real life on the way like never before.
m_) Alright. <fun>Great</fun> that there is a new challenge, and very exciting news actually.
But, Picture Perfect can mean so many things to me, sorry. My english is that bad. I may need an explanation on what do you mean by Picture Perfect.
Is about a drawing that we all have to send based on the film we are going to make?
Is about a picture in the film that needs to show up?
Is about about a phrase that has to say "Picture Perfect" in one of our puppets?
Is about picturing our most perfect animation?
Sorry, as you can see I got a bit confused.
Re: June Challenge - Picture Perfect
Picture perfect could be about a photographer who just can't get the right shot, or a painter who's just finished their masterpeice, or maybe a family going to get some photos taken or something.
The key phrase "picture perfect" is only meant to inspire the story of your animation, so no you don't have to draw anything or put that text anywhere in your submission.
sorry for the confusion.
Re: June Challenge - Picture Perfect
Interesting subject.
I hope to get an entry done.
And I hope to actually improve on animating.
Although I haven't animated in too long because of exams, this is a good way to get back into it.
I hope to see some great entries here!
Btw the subject confused me a bit too at first, although my english is alright for a Dutch.
Re: June Challenge - Picture Perfect
I like the idea.
I really want to get something out for this, but we'll have to see how that goes.
Moving to a new apartment hopefully soon.
It will just depend on how fast I get a place set up to animate in.
If I don't get to enter this month, I'll for sure be doing something for July.
