Wallpaper

Hay guys, im biuldings a set right now and i need your expirience.....im painting the wallpaper and i need it to look really old and dirty. I was just wondering if any of you knew how i would achieve this. Thanx

I've used different colored spray paints and literally getting things dirty with dust and dirt. wink

Definitely give it some practice on another sheet of paper just so you don't mess up your intended backdrop!

For a old, run down, dusty look, I've found that a water based grey clay works well (the kind you'd use in a pottery class).

Mix it with a little water to make a clay wash, then just use it to paint any areas you want to look dusty.

The bonus of using this over actual dirt or dust is that once it's dry, it won't move.

or for stains etc use a teabag rub it while its wet on some parts of your set that will make it look old

That's not a bad idea, though it could ruin the wallpaper.
