Getting Back into Claymation
Hey everyone,
I used to do claymation when I was younger but ventured off into graphic design & flash animation during college. Some of you may know me as 'Amymation' from the older forums but now I've actually set up my own design website etc ...
Something was missing! I decided I'm going to University to study clay animation and become a tutor after my PGCE course.
Anyhoo, I'd like some tips & tricks as I'm a bit rusty (I know that basics like FPS, lighting etc .. I need something that'll give it an extra kick!) Now my idea hasn't actually been written down and it's not even ... thought of but what I know is I'm hoping to make a really cool zombie animation with green screen, custom music etc ... I was wondering if anyone has any tips in how to make a cool looking zombie but easy to animate? (Blood effects also!). Any other tips would be great also!
I'll keep you all updated on my progress too, hoping to draw out storyboard for the next few days and buy some Newplast Clay and Delrin Balls etc ...
Cheers everyone!
- Amy
Re: Getting Back into Claymation
Have you ever tried using a video as a reference for claymation? I've been animating for a little while and for some reason, never tried to take a video of myself doing the moves before animating them until recently. It might help out a lot with the zombies!
