Re: March 2011 - Rolling Stones

These are brand names? My problem is I'm from Argentina, I doubt that these brands come up here... what I need to know is the qualities of the clay, then I can search for something similar... For example, it have to harden or not? I have been looking for a clay that doesn't get hard and people keep telling me that it doesn't exist... then, I get confused...  I'm pretty new at this so I don't know what I have to look for... there is a clay that doesn't get hard? or I'm dreaming? how much time it should takes?
HELP PLEASE! =S THANKS!

Re: March 2011 - Rolling Stones

Yeah, different countries use different types of oil-based clay brands (the type you'd use for animation). There's Van Aken Clay, Newplast, and some other type of clay that we use in America, I believe. I never pay attention to the brands, as long is it doesn't dry up, I'm relatively happy. smile

Re: March 2011 - Rolling Stones

Hi everybody. To Palomita de maiz, hi there. The plasticine used for animation is regular plasticine (plastilina) like the one we used in school. Here in Mexico we have several brands: CRAYOLA, BOMBIN, JOVI(from spain). There is little difference between them. Personaly I prefer JOVI, because it comes in shiny colours and look better in photos. I hope I was heplful. See you around.

Re: March 2011 - Rolling Stones

I am looking to buy a new camera for stop motion. I have a low budget but do not want something like a webcam. I am looking more at Sony Handycams and such. It needs to be able to stream live image to my computer for use with programs such as Stop Motion Pro. Any suggestions?
