Re: What Fps do you animate at? (frames per second)

i tend to animate at 15 fps or 24 fps... ive only made one animation at 24fps and it didnt turn out to well maily becuz i was animating a knife and it kept moving...

my 15 fps ones look relitively smooth though.

lol'd at 1 shot a minute.... i get like 1 shot every one and a half seconds or as soon as my cammera adjusts back....if i know what i'm going for... sometimes i have to completely change something and then it takes alot longer.

also onethousand frames could be if you had a slowmotion cammera (bassically the opposite of time lapse)

I used to do 15 fps, mainly for youtube stuff (YouTube runs at 15 fps). Now I animate everything at 24 fps. This is what one would use for feature film so it's what I use. smile

Hmm. Very interesting thread. I got a bit confused on the past page, but I think I get it now.
I can imagine filming an animation on actual film is a lot different then filming using a frame grabber program.
I 've always used 24fps, just always felt comfortable with that.

Means taking two to three of each frame.

what the Kingster means  is...   taking one frame per animation puppet position is shooting on ones or 1's, two frames per move is shooting on twos or 2's, and so on.
