May 2011 Monthly Challenge....

Re: May 2011 Monthly Challenge....

Thanks all.  I had a very nice deep sleep.

I really did this as an exercise for myself.  I needed some experience building and animating a four legged armature and I also built a new dolly.  I had some issues with both; especially the puppet's tie-downs.  The threaded rods weren't co-operating with me; perhaps, it's because I was working with one hand, but I'll have to look into it.

As for the story...If you know Shakespeare's Richard III, Richard kills his nephew.  Richard's family crest is the Boar.  The boar eating the boy's remains is an allusion to Richard murdering the boy.  Too complicated for a little exercise lol

Your's was very impressive Mr. Chappel.  The lighting, camera movement, puppets, and animation were all good.  I hope to see more of your work!
