Re: Help with armature

Is this an website problem or did you not write anything? Don't expect much help if there is nothing specific written. The title isn't going to get you very far.

website problem. this is wat i origonaly wrote.
Help with armature
Hey everyone. I was wondering if someone could help me. I was wondering if someone could point me into the right direction for a armature. I was hoping to make a character like Jay Clay from Canhead ( If you havent seen any of Tim Hittles Jay Clay shorts heres a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCWSQcaWoNk ) or a character like morph from Tony harts Morph ( if you havent seen Morph heres a link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMkRybbABuQ )

Now the only problem ive run into is keeping my characters stable, so i thought id use a armature in them. Every time i try to do this the armature dosnt support the puppet or is to heavy or something along those lines. I know that Jay Clay has a armature from wood of some kind but im unsure about morph. I dont need my puppets to ever change shape. id just like a nidce stable puppet that looks similar to the ones in these animations. Can anyone help?

Re: Help with armature

this can be done with a thick/heavy wire armature, or by a heavy duty ball and socket one you make yourself, depending on how large you want the puppet to be. You can also try using tie downs, etc to help keep him stable.
