February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!
Re: February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!
Excellent work all round, guys. I'm still finishing mine, should be done soon. I think Marc will be editing them together, but we'll have to make sure all entries are in first, of course. No doubt he'll be discussing what the plan is on the live show tonight. I won't be able to make it unless I get up at 2am, but I have to be at work at 5am, so could really do with the extra sleep.

If you need it, I have this little clip. It's part of a longer animation that I'm still working on:
Bounce Bounce Bounce
I can render it out to whatever dimensions/frames per second is easiest to work with.

Ok everyone, to make it easier, I put together a list of all the clips with their videos. The bolded are missing. I didn't include Scott's video yet because I'm not sure if people are still submitting.

Thanks for putting all of those segments up together Matt - I'd missed a few of them before.
ScottDaros - wow, that's a beautiful bit of claymation! It kind of needs a bit without the voiceover though, so we can hear the little guy sing.
So, of the 4 segments not posted yet, one is Buckner's - I forget which - and there are 3 animators still slaving away on theirs?
I've just emailed mine to Marc as well.
***edit***
Just checked, Buckner's segment is 24-28 sec so that one's done. That leaves Dean, Fred, and Matt Goodluck. Good luck guys!
See you at the live show.
Re: February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!
I've been trying to edit my 4-second segment for the last 6 hours. I just don't know what I've done wrong. In the framegrabber, the timing is ok (not perfect) but when I string the proper files together I come up half a second short...?! And altering the speed messes up the lip-sync. Which is really poor anyway. I'm totally devoid of life and emotion now. I have to get up for work in 3 hours, I should probalby go to bed. I was gonna add sound effects after it was edited... sigh.
Ok, I just rendered it and it seems even further off. Here is the link to what probably can't be used. But if some people need extra time to finish, maybe I'll get to go back and fix it. Some how...?
I think some of the frames got lost when I uploaded them to my laptop. First attmept at lip-sync. Possibly the last...!
Can't seem to embed, so here's the link.

I updated the films list. Buckner's film was emailed to Marc and Matt needs an extra day or two. Only entry we're missing then is the 28-32 second clip which was given to Fred. So, if there's no follow up from Fred, maybe use Scott's clip as a replacement.
I really like the animation you did Dean. For that extra half second... I would split the clip up and only slow down the frame rate at the point the ninja starts his kicking. That might work. Not sure how much that would throw the lip syncing off though.
