February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!

Re: February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!

I was just going to have my character react to some of the dialogue, but if we are doing lip sync, I 'll make him talk.

I like that idea.  I think reaction shots would actually work better than lip syncing.

Animating on 2's works.

I Think that reaction shots would be better too.Because if you think about it. every character that would change every 4 seconds would have the same voice and that will look wierd..like even if the lips are synced to what the say it would'n look that THEY are talking.I dont know.I'ts just my opinion. either way It will be fun doing it.^^
What are you guys think?

What do you say Mr. Spess?  Lip-sync?  Reaction shots?  Both?  Let us know what you want.

I'm keen to join in.  I'll take 16-20 sec if it's still available.

Re: February 1 to February 29, 2012: Monthly Challenge Ad Compiliation!

What if it was left open to interpretation like the monthly challenges. Afterall, this is sort of a monthly challenge. And it will be advertising them. I think some of the dialogue suits lip-sync, whereas some would work better with actions.

Tim, we did have 12 people volunteer, hence why the audio was split 12 ways. But 3 of them people have yet to claim a slot, so I don't know if they are still interested. This is getting complicated. I guess you just claimed 16 - 20.

Since some of you want to do lip sync though that's completely fine. Just work with your section as best as you can. Action shots are fine as well. When you change the TV channels there's always going to be some stations with narration and some with people speaking. So it is probably best that it's mixed up, at least in my opinion.

Hi folks,
I'm just catching up on all this (I think I've been dozing for the last few weeks) Is anyone doing 40 - 44 yet?  I'd love to be a part of this and I have a whole load of  stuff that's  ready to roll.

I'm currently animating a clay character playing music on a keyboard. If there are any spots that don't get filled, you could fill it in with mine. I'm not sure I'll be able to animate another 4 seconds specifically related to this dialogue when I finish the one I'm doing right now.

Sounds good Scott, can't wait to see what all of you come up with! This is shaping up to be one of our biggest challenges I think.
