António V - Wire and Wood Armature

António V - Wire and Wood Armature

Its my simple and cheap way to make an armature.
Just make some holes in the wood. Twist some wire and glue a tube in the ends. Attach some matches to the 'solid bone zones'. Mount all together and have fun.

Hands look a bit out of proportion, but I don't know if that's your goal (just based of the last picture).

Re: António V - Wire and Wood Armature

Well, they are. But I want my characters to express theirselves with their body parts, not much by speaking. And hands are a great tool of comunication. Other wise, I've made some hands in Super Sculpey to make a mold and I havent took yet the right measures, so its better to be bigger that smaller.

Re: António V - Wire and Wood Armature

I like it.
I want to see what you are going to make over it.
I don't think characters always need to be 100% proportionate.
How many cartoons out there have proportionate looking characters?
I don't know maybe they are in just a weird way

Anywho nice job on the armature!
