South Americas Edgar Alvarez has a workshop studio which offers everything from clay illustration to stop motion animation.
Edgar was creative since he was a kid and became obsessed with clay animation. Ever since that time he's built a name for himself in most of the Spanish speaking countries, and is based in Columbia. He's helped make over 120 commercials, as well as 10 short films and 12 books related to the art.
The company has an official web site and also a blog. You can visit their main site here. It is geared towards telling the history of the studio, from Edgars early days, all the way to how they tried creating and selling their own brand of clay for animators. They also show many illustrations, videos and more. The only bad part is the site is all in Flash, so it's a little hard to navigate. It will keep you busy with the number of things to click. Luckily it's fun to look at all the different characters in the process.
Their blog is a general clay and stop motion blog that they don't keep updated often, but you can look at here. The nice part is if you click on the images on the right side you can see larger Picasa image galleries of their work. Or if you like you can visit his online galleries directly here. You can see an example of their animation below, and you can watch more on the official YouTube channel here.

and by the way his based is not in Argentina Is in BOGOTA, COLOMBIA.
