Halloween Puppet Contest

Spirit of Halloween Sculpting Contest

It's time again for a puppet sculpting contest, and the winner will get a nice treat!

Do you remember the last sculpting contest? Neither do I, it's been a long time. Halloween is the time when kids go out and go door to door for treats. So why not offer the biggest treat of all? A stop motion animation master course from the online store. That's the biggest prize we've ever offered.

So what do you have to do? Everyone must sculpt "or build" a puppet "or puppets" surrounding the theme of the Spirit of Halloween. This can be a witch over her cauldron stirring her magic potions. It can be a scarecrow that comes to life and scares the kids walking by. It can be a monster smashing your neighbors house.

Anything related to Halloween, be it fun, crazy, scary or gruesome will do. Once your puppet is complete, simply upload the picture and post it in our forum thread specifically for the contest here. If you have troubles posting your pictures, just let me know. My e-mail is This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Oh, and make sure to tell your Facebook friends about the contest by pressing the Like button below this article too. And the point of this puppet making contest is to have fun, so don't worry if you aren't a master sculptor. Anyone can enter!

Great idea! Does it have to be an animateable puppet, or is a static sculpture ok?

Hey Marc, it can be static or animate-able. If you're going to spend a lot of time sculpting it - you might regret it if it's not smilies/grin.gif

Wow, that's too hard to pa*s up! I don't think I stand a chance with all the talent here, but I'll give it a shot. It'll be fun.

I may have to so this one. I am going crazy not doing any animation. Plus the treat is WAY to good not not even attempt this.

I'm working on a brand new sculpture of a pretty nasty creature for the Sinbad film I'm working on, but I can't possibly post any photos of it in public... Damn!smilies/angry.gif

ughh, I wanted to get the wire base for mine done tonight, but I'm stuck doing stoopid CG because my stoopid tutor decided to change the stoopid rules 3 weeks into the 5-stoopid-week-project. smilies/angry.gif
My sculpture is planned to be really cartoony, though, I've got a bunch of drawings ready.
