Phil Tippett is getting back into stop motion. He will be ressurecting his shelved film MAD GOD.
The theme of the film is where the industrial age butts heads with the age of belief. This is a sort of topic you might find talked about in more modern days between theists and atheists in some corner of YouTube - or perhaps one of your friends. Phil will be creating somewhat of a visual representation with him and other artists who plan to use more modern cameras and editing. What would happen if all morals dissapeared? Maybe MAD GOD would give us a close idea. Below you can see a trailer that they put together so far.
Now if the name Phil Tippett sounds familiar, Phil is the stop motion mastermind behind the AT-AT walkers in Empire Strikes Back. Plus he created most of the Industrial Light and Magic stop motion that came out in the mid 70's all the way up until he had his own studio in the 90's. So if you've watched Willow, the Robocop films or the Star Wars movies - you've seen his and his crews hands at work.
Now it might be just me, but seeing Phil as a presence on the internet is exciting. Because now he is coming out in a less formal way, by posting on Facebook, YouTube and on his own site.

That will be the "best" stopmotion movie ever ! =)
The sets are so detailed, the characters too... I love the lightning and the dark ambiance. So, inspiring...
Can't wait to see the full movie.
