Behind the Scenes with Shaun the Sheep

Shaun the Sheep

Now you can inside the studio where Shaun the Sheep was created.

Ralph Caspers went to Aardman to cover a story about Shaun the Sheep for German TV. While the speech is German, it is still just as inspiring to look at everything going on. Ralph goes inside and shows the fabrication process, story boards, sets, animation and audio. Here are the two videos:

There are also some forum posts by the studio on the official Shaunthesheep.com web site that have lots of pictures and questions that are answered to the public. If you want to view the images even larger than how they appear you'll need to sign up and create a new account. Then you can click them to make them extra big. Thanks Ben for all these links:

Thanks for finding this, it's made my day smilies/grin.gif Shaun the Sheep must be quite popular in Germany, which is pretty awesome.
It's also cool to see people from the Creature Comforts(tv show) DVD extras still working there nearly 10 years later.

Shaun the sheep was co-financed by a famous german childrens TV show, that's why the publicity and popularity in Germany is pretty high.
Don't worry if you don't understand what the guy in the video says. It's adressed at children and very basic stuff, so he doesn't give away any inside stopmotion tricks. smilies/wink.gif
