Rung: Brodkey and Duke

Chuck Duke and Jesse Brodkey finished a 16mm film called Rung. It has a haunting style and the story is completely visual.

Without giving it away, this a film I wanted to share that Don Carlson found and sent me on Facebook. Chuck Duke has an extensive list of films he has worked on. Many of which I grew up watching and got inspired by. So finally seeing his puppets come to life was a real treat. I also briefly met Chuck in Portland (Will Vinton Studios) way back in 1995 or so, and he had the busiest and most puppet-crammed desks in the whole place. If you don't count Gary Bialkes'.

It is certainly different. The motion is smooth...without the jerky qualities of a lot of stop motion animation. Excellent job of the art of stop motion animation.
