Somehow we missed this stop motion gem when it was released about a year ago.
The Scarf is a short film by Carla Veldman. Carla chose a very tough subject to write her film around, in fact it is an emotional topic for many today. Although the puppets, sets and animations are excellent - the story alone could carry this film just fine. That is why this example of a film should get your attention as it is good over-all film making!
Carla has a web site specifically set up just for the film itself, as well as a blog and a Vimeo video page of her work. All of them are worth visiting since there are a variety of behind the scenes pictures and video tests. So if you are in a slump and need some inspiration make sure you spend some time on all of them. Below is the short film as well as the links to her other sites.
