Dear loyal visitors, thank you for supporting us for the past 10 years....
While I didn't mention this on our main site here, August 2011 marked ten years that our site began. I say began, because at that point I put everything I had into giving the community something to look forward to every week. News about current events in stop motion, as well as contests and an outlet to promote projects for others. It went from hobby to business in order to grow the online interest in the art over-all, and I think it's been a success. Before 2001 Animateclay.com was just a single long page on AOL. Then several pages on spree.com, then expanded with a forum and weekly news as animateclay.com.
It has been a lot of fun, always expanding and changing with the technology, but staying true to the hand crafted art of clay and stop motion animation. Any time there was something going on either with individuals or studios, chances are you saw it on this site at some time. The community has also grown, people who visited here have gone onto work for Laika, Aardman and Shadow Machine Studios to name a few. It's great to be a part of it and to share all the secrets and tricks. Not to mention helping others as time went on.
So as a way to give even more, I'm throwing a sale of our most popular how-to resource. Secrets of Clay Animation Revealed 3! for one week as a thank-you to my fans. You can find all versions of it at reduced prices over here.
