StopMoShorts is Back!

After several years in hibernation, StopMoShorts is back again!

If anyone was involved in making stop motion films about four years ago, StoMoShorts was a popular destination. However there were issues with keeping it updated as it was a LOT of work for the team behind it. Citing differences, lack of will and time - StopMoShorts closed its doors in 2008. Things changed this month when Eric Scott, a major contributor behind the scenes decided to resurrect StopMoShorts.

While Eric says that bringing back SMS is to create an archive of what the site once was, he says he might host another challenge and slowly add updates. If you love stop motion like we do you'll support his site by checking it out over here. There is also a SMS YouTube channel now over here where you can watch all the old videos. You could spend the entire week just watching those old films and finding new inspiration. Below is one such film made for the haiku challenge that you can find on the site among other great short films.

When I went online for the first time, there were 3 sites that made up my stop motion online world... StopMotionAnimation, StopMotionWorks and StopMoShorts and NOW It's not only just back to being 3 but it is now 4! smilies/cheesy.gif
