Mr_Force Not real most motorized sliders are driven with a DC geared motor and some do move a distance before they stops to let the camera take a picture this is more for Time laps videos then stopmotion. That said all you need for a stopmotion slider is one that has the ability to repeat the moves in the same locations. violetcrabtree I'm not really a tech person, so edu puertas' diy slider project is beyond me. I'm learning how to build an animation table with his video, though. I think I can live without a slider. Also, I'm using premiere, and not excited about learning a new software program. Stop motion is so multi-faceted, it's crazy! Thanks for the tips! 3 months ago

animateclay One trick I use to know if paints/clays are UV sensitive is to bring a purple laser to my local hobby/craft shops. You can shine the laser on any item and if it glows you know you're in luck. That being said there are pigments you can mix in with your clay if you can't find what you need.
