Making of the Adventures of Mark Twain

The Adventures of Mark Twain (released in the United Kingdom as Comet Quest) is a 1985 American stop motion claymation fantasy film directed by Will Vinton and starring James Whitmore. In the above video you can see how the very small crew (full time staff of only 17 people) created the characters and brought them to life. This was right before Will Vinton Studios really took off. Most of the animation techniques using clay were at their height historically in terms of craftsmanship.
